The Lost Music Project seeks to reconstruct the history of musical material culture looted, confiscated, displaced, or otherwise lost as a result of the Nazi era, and the aftermath.
Evolving research regarding musical manuscripts, printed music, music-related books and archives, musical instruments, and other musicalia documented in public and private archives will be posted to this website.
In addition to new research, a goal of this project is to make both information and copies of primary source historical records accessible to the public for further research efforts and analysis.
